God is enthroned with Christ on the cross in front of him, flanked by the Virgin Mary and Saint John. Christ, God’s head and the chalice (cup) with Christ’s blood are all quite worn. This could indicate that the panel was used as a pax (an object of devotion frequently kissed by the church congregation) after becoming detached from its other half.
