The Illuminating Objects Programme provides pre-professional experience to postgraduates from divers fields of study. Each year, The Courtauld invites two interns to select, research and ‘illuminate’ an object from its collection, which they interpret through the lens of their academic discipline. This programme, in partnership with McQueens Flowers, enables students to create innovative
displays and engaging online content.

This display was researched and created by Sophie-Nicole Dodds (MA in Design: Expanded practice, Goldsmith’s 2020), in partnership with the Science Museum, London.
